In the past few lessons my partner and I have been brainstorming and visualising our ideas. We have looked at the magazine adverts of artists of similar genre such as Kerrang and Rock sound as e feel that Skrillex would be suitable for them. We have mind mapped the locations and started storyboarding.
We decided we will mainly be focusing on Mid shots, close ups and P.O.V shots as it is important to show the actors' faces and emotions closely. Even though the genre of our song is dubstep, we have managed to create a romantic narrative, therefore those shots would be suitable. We will also include some P.O.V to represent the characters from other character's poin of view.
These are some of the locations that we have decided to shoot in. In Windsor park we will shoot the couples on the bridge enjoying their time together, In Boulters lock we will film Tess and Dan having a picnic and sitting on the bench after, in Punt Hill we will shoot the teenagers on the grass, in various angles, in Oaken Grove park the carving in the tree will be shot. London streets are optional.
We felt like these would be the most common types of editing techniques we will use in our music video. We will use fast dip to colour flashes in the fast dubstep part of the song in order to represent Dan's confusion. We will alternate focus whilst filming in close up the faces of two teens, to reveal their faces. We will use straight cuts to create seem-less transition and slow motion to give the audience more of an insight in what's happening in the video.
These can be the possible location of where we would want to shoot our video.
